Obituary for Effie Truluck Clark
Effie Truluck Clark, age 93, of Greensboro. FL passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Effie was born on November 25, 1922 in Madison FL., the daughter of Walter W. and Edna Truluck. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bernard H. Clark, her parents, two brothers, Collins Truluck and Walter H. “Bubba” Truluck of Havana, FL, two sisters, Lucille Colson of Tallahassee and Eloise Roberts of Gainesville, Fl. Effie is survived by her daughter, Susan Hinton (James) of Orlando, Fl and son Stephen P. Clark (Billie June) of Tallahassee, FL; three grandchildren June Mobley (Paul) of Tallahassee, FL and Scott and Stephen Hinton of Orlando, FL.
Effie graduated from Attapulgus High School in May of 1940. She attended Florida State College for Women in 1940 and also studied at Lively Technical School in Tallahassee. Effie began work in 1948 with the United States Department of Agriculture, as a County Office Manager for the Farmers Home Administration Department in Quincy, Fl. She retired on July 27, 1979 with 31 years of service.
Effie was a long time member of the Greensboro United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and served on various committees during her lifetime.
Visitation will be held at the Greensboro United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM with services following at 11:00 am.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the staff at Broadview Assisted Living in Tallahassee, and Big Bend Hospice for all their compassion and assistance.
