Obituary for Barbara Jean Tharp
Quincy – BARBARA JEAN THARP, 84, died June 13, 2023, in Tallahassee. She was born in Gadsden Co., Florida, April 25, 1939. She for many years worked at the State of Florida. She was an avid gardener and loved taking care of any bird or turtle that entered the yard. She was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church.
Service will be Friday, June 16, at 4:00 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery. Family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons and grandchildren.

Grandchildren: Travis Michael (Morgan) Tharp, Trevin Joseph (Libby) Tharp, Brittany Tharp (Jonathan) Bonesteel.
She was preceded in death by her husband David R. Tharp, her parents E.B. and Mary Fannie Butler, her siblings Ruby Ware, B. Butler, John Butler, Mary Phillips, Claude Butler, Howell Butler, and Carolyn McDaniel, and a grandchild, Trevor Tharp.
