Mable Geraldine Phillips Williams, 87, of Hosford, Florida, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021.
Mable was born to the late Albert and Evelyn Phillips on April 3, 1934, in Hosford, Florida, where she resided with her late husband of 62 years, Willie “Linwood” Williams.
Mable’s career included 42 years of employment with the State of Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles. After a much-deserved retirement, she enjoyed traveling andshopping while being a homemaker and caregiver for her grandchildren.
Beloved survivors include her children Michael Williams and Kimberly White (Bennett), all of Hosford. Mable’s grandchildren include Brandy Kirkland (John), Breanna White, Cierra White, who are all residents of Hosford. Her great-grandchildren are Cody Kimball and Alexis Brown of Hosford; great-great-grandchildren Briar Kimball and Reece Kimball, both of Hosford. Mable is survived by her sister Vivian “Dutch” Land (Willie) of Fort Myers. Outside of her family’s love and support Mable was cared for by Wanda McCallister whom she dearly cherished her time and unwavering support.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Albert “Purg” Phillips, Jr. and Marion Ellison of Hosford.
Funeral services for Mable will be held at Hosford Cemetery on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at 4:00 PM, where the family will receive friends and family.
