WILLIAM “BILL” PENN LAGOS
William “Bill” Lagos passed on May 5th in Telogia, FL at the age of 63.
He is survived by his daughter, Desirae Sewell, her husband Jeff, and two granddaughters, Sydney & Gracey, all of Bristol, FL. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Cin Rider, as well as a half-sister, Karen Nelson of NC. His 5 nephews include Paul Elmore Jr., Leslie Elmore, Joseph Ard, and James Ard. His nieces are Julie Pelico-Calel and Jodie Ard. Bill is also survived by 2 uncles, 1 aunt, and numerous great nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene & Virginia Lagos, brother George Lagos, half-brother Larry Lagos, and sister Barbara Ard, all of Pensacola, FL .
Bill was born on September 3, 1957 in Pensacola, FL to Eugene & Virginia Lagos. Bill met Cin, his sweetheart in Sumter, South Carolina and they married at Shaw Air Force Base in 1977. Not long after marriage, Bill and Cin moved back to Pensacola, where he served in the U.S. Navy. He was known as a caring person who loved animals and children. Bill never met a stranger and enjoyed playing cards, hot coffee, and good conversation. He was extremely passionate about his family and would do anything for them.
Bill was cremated and a family service commemorating his life will be held at a later time in his beloved Pensacola. Desirae, Jeff, and the family would like to thank everyone for their condolences.
