William Frank Morgan Jr. (Bill), age 71, Crawfordville, Fl, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022, at home surrounded by his family. He was born December 26th, 1950, to William F. Morgan Sr. and Celeste Grubbs Morgan in Quincy, Florida. On April 24, 1970 Bill married his high school sweetheart, Rita Watson.
Bill graduated from Quincy High School in 1968 and then attended Lively Technical College to study auto-mechanics. His love for drag racing and hot rods led him to becoming a mechanic with Smitherman Auto and then the Chevrolet dealership of Quincy. Bill began working in the auto parts industry for Auto Supply and Keenan’s Auto Parts and then got into aviation parts where he had a 40-year career with Flight Line Group of Tallahassee. He loved this job and co-workers and they were like a second family to him. Bill loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was loved by many and his sense of humor always made his friends and family laugh and enjoy life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Rita Watson Morgan and two sons, William Frank Morgan III, wife Donna Morgan, and Jason Wayne Morgan. Bill has 3 grandchildren William Frank Morgan IV (Cristina), Brittany Taylor Smith (Justin) and Alison Latrelle Morgan. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, Luke, Rylieann, Grayson, and Mia. Bill is also survived by his 2 sisters Beverly Ely (Skip) of North Richland, Texas & Nan Gandy of Tallahassee, Florida. He is also survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by his loving parents, William Frank Morgan Sr and Celeste Grubbs Morgan.
The service will be Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Quincy, FL., with interment immediately following at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 AM until service time.
