With profound sadness we announce the passing of William “Billy” Lee Dabney.

Billy, age 83, went home to be with the Lord, October 11, 2022. Billy was born February 26th, 1939 in Tallahassee, FL .


Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Suzanne “Sue” Revell Dabney, his parents William Jennings and Kate Smith Dabney, sisters Shirley and Katie and brothers, Jerry and Carol.


He leaves behind his daughters, Debbie Eddleman (Bud) and Vickie Kelley (Enoch); sons, Eddie Dabney (Kathy) and Richie Dabney (Joanie) He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren;11 great-grandchildren, and 39 nieces and nephews.


Born and raised in Tallahassee, Billy spent the last 48 years living in Bristol, FL. He was the 1 of 12 children that included 4 sets of twins. His beloved brothers and sisters include, brother, Roland Dabney (Ann); sister Martha Smith (Clyde); sister Mary Hock (John); Brother Jimmy Dabney; Brother Jerry Dabney; sister Carolyn Goff; brother Carol Dabney (Dottie); sister Helen Smith (Silas); sister Katie Dickens (Troy); brother Richard “Butch” Dabney (Anita).


Billy worked at Calhoun Paint and Drywall for 40 + years as a painter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling and had a passion for playing cards. He adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with his family.


Billy will be laid to rest on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Blue Creek Cemetery, Hosford, FL. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service time at 10:00 AM, at the graveside.
