Walter Robinson Davis, III
July 15, 1946 – September 1, 2025
Walter Robinson Davis, III (“Rob”), was born on July 15, 1946, in Marianna, Florida, to Walter Robinson Davis, Jr., and Ruth Bridwell Davis. He passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on September 1, 2025.
Rob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Bryant Suber Davis, and his parents. He is survived by his sister, Gwendolyn R. Davis Beasley of Guyton, Georgia; his brothers, John Paul Davis of Maine, Edward E. (Ed) Davis and wife Pam of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and Richard B. (Brad) Davis of St. Johns, Florida. He is also survived by many cherished family members and dear friends.
A 1965 graduate of Lakeland Senior High School, Rob proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971, including service during the Vietnam War. He later worked for Budweiser Distributing Company and United Insurance Company. Rob attended Florida State University and was a devoted Seminoles football fan.
He found joy in fishing, hunting, playing golf, and being an active member of the Lions Club. Rob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lions Club in Rob’s honor. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. (CST) at Riverside Cemetery, Franklin Street, Marianna, Florida.
