Virginia Dale Millender entered the presence of our Lord and Savior on November 19, 2025, with her loving husband of 52 years by her side.
Dale was born to Homer and Louise McMillan January 29, 1954, in Tacoma, Washington
She graduated from Carrabelle High School and received her master’s degree in physics from Florida State University.
She taught at Carrabelle High and Franklin County schools and worked in the family business, Millender & Sons Seafood.
She married Farris Vance Millender November 17, 1973. They had two sons. Together Dale and Vance brought their sons up in a Godly Christian home.
Dale gave her life to Christ at the age of 20 and lived her life for Him.
She shared her testimony with numerous people to ensure they too will live with her in paradise.
She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Carrabelle, Florida, where she served in children’s ministry and the music ministry for over 50 years. She loved playing the piano and singing.
She is survived by her husband, Vance Millender, two sons, Farris David and Stephen Vance and three grandchildren Jaxon, Troy and Calli. She has three sisters Beverly (Mark), Shirley, Diane (David) and one brother, Homer McMillan II (Dee).
A service will be held Monday, November 24, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with gravesite services following at Evergreen Cemetery Carrabelle, Florida.
