Obituary for Thomas Paul Gatlin
Thomas Paul Gatlin, 60, of Old Federal Road, Quincy, FL., died December 17, 2014. He was born in Quincy July 19, 1954 and was a graduate of James A. Shanks High School. He served in the U S Navy aboard the USS Milwaukee and retired from the Englehard Mining Co. in Quincy. He also was a very active volunteer at the Wallwood Boy Scout Camp and in veterans organizations. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Washington Street Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Thomas Paul and Cora Cox Gatlin lot in Eastern Cemetery, Quincy. He is survived by his father and mother, Lester and Dora Miller Gatlin of Quincy; his sons, Chris (Lou) Gatlin of Columbus, GA; Thomas (Amanda) Gatlin of Evansville, IN; Emory Gatlin of Ft. Campbell, KY; three grandchildren, Haylie, Cole and Alex Gatlin; sisters, Elaine Barksdale of Quincy, Diane (Richard) Strickler of Franklin. TN, Cheryl (Michael) Gonatos of Thomasville, GA; Brenda (Hugh) Rowan of Sycamore; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a special niece, Noel Greene.
