THOMAS AUSTIN PARKER, JR.

Thomas Austin Parker, Jr., of the Sycamore Community, passed away from this earth to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 29, 2025, at the age of 93. He was at Center Pointe Health & Rehab in Tallahassee at the time of his passing.

Thomas "Tommy or T.A.," the son of Thomas Austin Parker, Sr. and Emma Jane Mixon Parker, was born on November 22, 1931.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Doris, of 33 years.

His children - Karen Kent of Sneads, Walter Kirkland, Jr. and Connie of Tallahassee, Wanda Crawford and David of Chattahoochee, and Belinda Howell of Sneads.

His Grandchildren - Chuck Kent, Julie Kent, Sandi ____ , Crystal Wells, Joe Kirkland, Tony Kirkland, John McDaniel, Chris McDaniel, Jason Howell, and Kevin Howell, and spouses.

He was blessed with 25 Great-Grandchildren and 10 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Tommy is also survived by his Sisters, Betty Jean Smith of Jacksonville, and Sara Simpson & Orren of Pensacola, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, his son, William "Billy" Parker, his sister, Inez Williams (Curly), and a special nephew, Gene Smith.

Tommy attended Seminary School at Holmes Bible School in South Carolina, and Pastored churches in Jacksonville, Gainesville, Tampa, Chattahoochee and Shady Grove. While pastoring, he also worked in the Shipyards in Brunswick, GA, then at Florida State Hospital as an Occupational Therapist working his way up to and ending his career there as the Maintenance & Construction Superintendent.

He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, and hunting. He loved going to the mountains of Tennessee, riding his tractor & zero turn mower, and cutting down trees.

He especially loved spending time with his Grandchildren, Great and Great-Great Grandchildren.

"Thomas - Tommy - T.A. - Daddy - Poppa." He was a special man who was loved and will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Sycamore Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the graveside.
