Obituary for Stuart Anthony McKnight
Stuart Anthony McKnight, 55 of Carrabelle, Fl passed away suddenly on April 23, 2021 surrounded by family who loved him dearly. Stuart was born October 17, 1965 to John H. Sr & Katie McKnight in Carrabelle, Fl.
After graduating highschool, Stuart worked on a commercial grouper boat before working in the oyster industry along side his parents for the majority of his life. He also spent many days working in the hot sun laying underground cable and most recently as a general handyman servicing a variety of manual labor jobs.
Stuart & Cinnamon had their only son, Braxton S. McKnight in September 1999. He taught him how to catch a fish & hunt a deer just like his dad had taught him. Stuart spent many days taking his son fishing at the neighbors pond, local docks or out in the boat. He also spent many mornings in the woods hunting with his son enjoying that father-son bond they both shared. Stuart loved his family & also spent a lot of his time with this parents over the years. He also enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend, Miranda Riley and her children who he cared for deeply.
Stuart was predeceased by his father, John H. McKnight Sr. He is survived by his girlfriend Miranda Riley, his son, Braxton, his mother, Katie, a brother, John McKnight, and two nieces, Miranda (Robert) Whaley, Erica (Dustin) Cook.
The service will be Friday, April 30,2021, at 11:00 AM at Carrabelle Christian Life Center in Carrabelle, FL. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
