Obituary for Shirley Faye Harris Clark
Shirley Faye (Harris) Clark, 81, Greensboro, Florida, passed away on May 14, 2017, at home with family by her side. Shirley was born on September 3, 1935, near Coffee Springs, Alabama. Many in the community knew Mrs. Clark as she was a high school teacher for over 30 years at Greensboro High, and she was loved by all who knew her. Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church in Chattahoochee and loved singing in the church and 39ers choir. She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Donald J. Clark, her 3 children, Diane Martin (Carey), Donald J. Clark, Jr., and Amy Carol Roberts (Danny), 5 grandchildren, Shane Rogowski, Brandy Martin, Mercedes Martin, Bryan Roberts, and Heather Roberts, her brother, Leroy Edwin Harris, III, and her sister-in-law Carolyn (Clark) Barrow and husband, George, niece and nephew Lynn and Clark plus many cousins. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Edwin Harris, Jr., and Floy Childs Harris, and inlaws Harold William Clark and Mavis Jackson Clark, and grandson, Matthew Chase Roberts
Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church in Chattahoochee and loved singing in the chur and 39ers choir.
Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church, 503 S. Main Street, Chattahoochee, FL 32324, on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 10:30 EST with the funeral at 11:00. Charles McClellan Funeral Home, 15 S. Jackson Street, Quincy, FL 32351is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
