Shela Ruth Messer, 59, passed away on August 23, 2021 in
Tallahassee, Florida. She was born on December 8, 1961 to
Rodney and Judy Green in Carrabelle, Florida.
She married Ray Messer on May 22, 1981. She was a
member of the Carrabelle Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ray Messer; son,
Michael Messer and wife Sarah; daughter, Tamara Gilbert
and husband Josh; brother, Duke Green; sister, Mindy
Chambers; grandchildren, Cammie, Kyle, Cayleigh, Jamison,
Emileigh and Natalia; father, Rodney Green and many nieces
and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at the
First Assembly of God Church, Carrabelle. Visitation will be
at 10 AM. Service begins promptly at 11 AM. Graveside
services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery following the
completion of the church service.
