Obituary for Sandra Lodge Hornsby
Sandra Elizabeth Lodge Hornsby, of Quincy, FL, passed away on June 7, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. She was 66 years old. Sandy worked at Quincy State Bank for 20 years and then at Robert F. Munroe Day School as the Office Manager for 20 years. She was lovingly known by all the students and faculty at RFM as "Miss" Sandy.
She was a kind hearted person and always wanted to help others in any way she could. Sandy had an infectious smile and her eyes could light up a room.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joe, her daughter, Joanna Golightly (Phillip) of Quincy, her father, Earl Lodge of Quincy, her brothers Robert Lodge (Joyce) of Brinson, Georgia and Jeff Lodge (Karen) of Tallahassee. She had two grandsons, Aiden and Asher Golightly who adored her and called her GaGa.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sybil Sims Lodge and her sister, Susan Lodge Bryant.
Sandy will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
Service will be held at First Baptist Church Quincy on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11am. Family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall at from 10 AM until service time. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Robert F. Munroe Day School, 91 Old Mt. Pleasant Rd. Quincy, FL 32352.
