Obituary for Rosa Murl Hopper
Rosa Murl Cooper Hopper, 87, of Greensboro, FL, passed away December 31, 2016 at her home. She was born in Blue Springs, Alabama on March 23, 1929 to Talmadge and Foye Melinda Day Cooper. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro. She and her late husband, Howard Hugh Hopper, moved to Greensboro from Ona, Florida many years ago and started the Hopper Charlais Cattle Ranch on Tolar-White Road.
Family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Greensboro, Thursday, Jan. 5 at 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Sycamore Cemetery.
She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Hugh Hopper, her parents, her sons, Jim Ward and Barry Hopper, sisters, Sue Bennett and Jean McGinnis. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lynn Ward of Greensboro, daughter, Patti Battle of Buford, GA, sons, Alan Hopper of Jacksonville, FL, Bryan Hopper of Lake Placid, FL, and Matt Hopper of Lakeland, FL. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill Cooper of Avon Park, FL and Robert Cooper of Winter Haven, FL, and a sister, Ruth Heckleman of Avon Park, FL, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
