Obituary for Rodney Green
Mr. Rodney "Papa Rod" Green, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, August 27, 2023. He was born May 28, 1939 to Steve and Cleo Green in Sopchoppy, Florida.
He married Judy Millender Green on March 10, 1961 in Carrabelle, Florida where they had four children together.
He is survived by; son, Rodney Dwayne Green (Susan Green) of Smith Creek; daughter, Mindy Green Chambers of Carrabelle; son in law, Ray Messer of Carrabelle, seven grandchildren; Alicia, Micheal, Duke, Tamara, Morgan, Hunter, and Marci; 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Cleo Green, father, Steve Green, his loving wife, Judy Millender Green, son, Micheal Darin Green, daughter, Sheila Green Messer. brother J.D. Green, and sisters Annie-Sue Wilson and Carrie Johnson.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Carrabelle, FL.
