Rebecca “Becky” Ann Cobb, 65, passed away peacefully in her home on January 29, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She spent the vast majority of her life in Tallahassee, Florida with the love of her life, Max L. Cobb of 34 years.
She worked for the State of Florida for over 15 years. She was recognized Statewide for implementing Florida’s commercial saltwater fishing licensing in 1990 when the Florida legislature established the program.
She enjoyed playing the bass guitar, saltwater fishing, and hunting. She fostered her relationship with God through prayer and worship. She had a passion for life and in everything she did.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sally Ann Knowles and Captain Paul Thomas Hopkins. She is survived by her husband Max L. Cobb; brother, Paul Douglas Hopkins (wife, Chris Hopkins) and sister, Deborah Lee Sperco (husband, Paul Sperco); five daughters, Samantha S. Whatley, Brandy Lynn West (husband, Matt West), Brandy [Amber] Ridgway (husband, John “Teddy” Ridgway), Heather L. Mehr (husband, Mike Mehr), and Amy Morrow (husband, Arthur “AJ” Morrow), twelve grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her services will be held at Transformation Church, 2300 Old Bainbridge Road: Viewing on Monday, February 5th, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Funeral on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024 at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest in the Tallahassee Memory Garden Mausoleum.
Becky requested donations be made to the Lighthouse Children’s Home or the ALS Foundation.
