Obituary for Randall A. Musgrove
Randall Aubrey Musgrove, 75, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at his home in Tallahassee, Florida. He was born to the late John Bunyan Musgrove and Hattie Murl Clark Musgrove on March 31, 1938, in Decatur County Georgia. He married Wanda Kay Geiger on June 29, 1957, in Tallahassee, FL. They have been married for 56 years and have four children who all live in the area. Randall retired from the City of Tallahassee where he was the Manager of the Electric Meter Department and was a dedicated employee for over 40 years. Randall was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he has served many years as a Family History Consultant. He was an active member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Finley Brigade, Camp #1614 and cherished the legacy of his ancestors. He was past president of the both the Georgia Callers Association and the Dixie Federation Callers Association. He was also chairman of the committee that created a square dance museum at Agrirama in Tifton, Georgia. He was fiercely patriotic and loved spending time hunting and fishing in the great outdoors but his greatest priorities were his family and genealogy work. Randall is survived by his wife and children: Crystal Musgrove Spikes and her husband John Tracy Spikes, Katrina Musgrove Peddie and her husband Jared Monroe Peddie, Randy Musgrove Holcomb and her husband James Royce Holcomb, Jr., Randall Aubrey Musgrove, II, and his wife Kimberly Macks Musgrove. He is also survived by his sister Susie Musgrove Coleman and her husband William F. Coleman, 26 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and scores of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Kenneth Earl Musgrove and John Walter Musgrove. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bristol, Florida on Monday, March 10, 2014, at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. immediately prior to the service. Charles McClellan Funeral Home in Quincy, FL is in charge of the services. Interment will be at the Musgrove Family Cemetery on the family's property in Leon County.
