Obituary for Philip Roger Eckstadt
Philip R. Eckstadt of Quincy, Florida passed away on August 28, 2025, in Tallahassee, Florida. Phil was predeceased by his wife Annette Hardee Eckstadt and his parents, Joseph P. and Mary B. Eckstadt of Sebring, Florida. He was a retired educator with the Gadsden County School System and was known affectionately as "Mr. E." He was always proud when his former students would speak to him and give him an update on their life after graduating. One of Philips’s joys in life was supporting many individuals and organizations through giving; Only Heaven will reveal the many who he and his late wife, Annette, have blessed.
His caregivers and friends will gather for a Memorial Service at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Quincy on December 13, 2025. Family and friends will visit starting at 10:00 a.m. and the Service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
