Patricia “Patty” J. Kelly passed away peacefully December 20, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 22, 1944, to William and Essie Johnson in Havana, Florida, where she lived her entire life. After graduating from high school, Patty worked at a bank in Tallahassee for several years. During this time, she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Murray Kelly.
After their marriage, Patty and Murray purchased a home in Havana, where they built a life together and raised their two sons. Patty later began a long and dedicated career with the Havana Post Office as a rural mail carrier. After 30 years of faithful service, she retired and enjoyed spending her days watching westerns and reading anything she could get her hands on.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, William and Essie Johnson. She is survived by her devoted husband, Murray Kelly; her sons, Wade Kelly (Joanna) and Shay Kelly; and her loving family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Latonya and Lamont for the compassionate and selfless care and friendship they provided without hesitation.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
