Obituary for Otha L. (Poor-Boy) White
Otha Leeon White, 84, passed away October 11,2023, at home. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 10am to 11am on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Bethel A/G church, 1882 Pine Grove Church Road. The funeral service will begin at 11am with Pastor Damon Gilstrap and Pastor Clyde Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Sycamore Methodist Cemetery. Otha L. White was born June 23,1939, in Greensboro, Fl. The son of Clifton Maxwell White and Maggie Bell White. Otha was retired from the Florida Road and Bridge Department, where he worked for 39 years. He was also well known for operating several different service stations throughout his life. Survivors include his two sons Otha O. White (Judy), Thomas J. Singletary, his daughter M. Louella Kent (Benny), all of the Greensboro community, his grandchildren Casey Gilstrap (Damon), Matthew White (Lacey), Thomas "Turtle" Singletary, Heather Harrison (John), Hillary Golden, Dusty Jordan (Stacey) and Jennifer Jordan, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. His brothers Massey White, Maxwell White (Donna), and sisters JoAnn Hart (Bill), and Linda Sloat and a large extended family. In addition to his parents, Otha was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth White, his grandson Jefferson Singletary, his brothers Moody White, Clell White, Madie White and Preston White, his sister Lucille Weeks, and two sister in law's Wandra White and Cindy White.
