Obituary for Oma Marie Vinoski Hathcock



Oma Marie Vinoski Hathcock, 83, passed away at her home on January 25, 2024, with her friend, Martha Parramore, holding her hand.

She was born on November 22, 1940, to Mary and Mike Vinoski in Fork Ridge, Tennessee. Oma and her family moved to Michigan when she was 10 years of age. She graduated from Monroe High School, Monroe, Michigan in 1958.

Oma married Robert W. Hathcock on January 7, 1961, in Monroe, Michigan. They moved to Quincy, Florida in 1963, where she spent the rest of her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, an infant brother, her parents, a sister, Winnie Duvall, brother, James Vinoski, and her loving nephew, Rick J. Duval.

She is survived by her sister, Opal Gross (James), son, R.W. Hathcock, granddaughter, Megan, nieces and nephews in Kentucky, Michigan and Florida, along with her friend Martha Parramore.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy, Florida.
