> She was born on June 25, 1956 in Troy, Alabama to the late James Hubert Chambers and Sallie Josephine Chambers Graves. Where she grew up as one of 16 siblings.

> Melissa married her husband Eddie in March of 1973 in Bainbridge, GA. They were soulmates and lifelong companions. They spent most of her life in the Hardaway community, where she was a loving homemaker to her husband, their 4 children and 7 grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching her game shows and westerns.

> Melissa was such a kind and sweet soul. Her beautiful spirit will be forever missed by her family, friends and all those that knew her.
>
> She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Ulmer, siblings Gerald, Mary Jo, Eddie, Ronald, Gary, and Donald Chambers.

> She is survived by her two sons, James Ulmer (Elizabeth) and William Ulmer (Angela); her two daughters, Amy Ulmer (Spencer) and Sherrie Westwood (Martin), her seven grandchildren, Cayla, Cassie and AJ Grice, Kyle Ulmer, Madison Preston, Samantha and Nicholas Westwood, her siblings, Jimmy Chambers (Carla), Janice Schrieber (Jim), Earl Chambers (Grace), Tony Chambers (Charlene), Danny Chambers (Julia), Philip Chambers (Cindy), Shelia Moulton (Lamar), Linda Gentry (Mike), Greg Chambers (Jessie), sister in law Susan Campbell, longtime friend Shorty Ann Rentz and many other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 11:30 AM at the home of Melissa Ulmer at 476 Finuff Road in Hardaway..
