Obituary for Mary Esther Searcy
Mary Esther Searcy, age 85, died Saturday, July 12th, 2025.
Mary was born in Bee Log, North Carolina. In 1957 she moved to Lakeland, Florida, where she met and married the love of her life, Tommy J. Searcy. They relocated to Chattahoochee, Florida in 1962 to raise their family. She enjoyed flower gardening, puzzles and loved having her grandchildren around her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy J Searcy, father Arvul Hensley, and her mother, Edgle Hensley.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Parr, of Greenwood Florida, brother, Lonnie Hensley of Cartersville, Georgia; her four children, Charlotte (Larry) Phillmon, James Searcy, Wayne (Karen) Searcy, and Terry (Wendy) Searcy; nine grandchildren, Chis (Amanda) Searcy, Shawn Phillmon, Amanda Phillmon, Travis Searcy, Macey (Rocco) Carpinona, Kelli Searcy, Kane (Bailey) Searcy, Joshua (Hannah) Searcy, and Jason Gentry and five great grandchildren, Sammy Searcy, Maxton Searcy, Remington Searcy, Aleena Carpinona, and Tripp Searcy
Service will be Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
