Obituary for Mainer A. Moore
Mr. Mainor Alfred Moore, Sr., 76, passed away gently in his sleep in the
comfort of his own home on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 9:00p.m.
This Legend of Gadsden County and outlying counties was well-known (and
beloved) for his local business, Moore Electric that started in 1963.
Working to help others was something that came so easily to Mr. Moore and no
matter the situation he was there to help.
Born to the late Norman Bennett Moore, Sr. and Lillie Mae Poppell on January
9, 1940, in Climax, GA.
Mr. Moore leaves behind his wife Linda; his son Mainor Moore, Jr. and two
daughters Ellen Moore Callaway and Debra Ann Moore. He also leaves a brother,
Norman Moore and his wife Michelle, and two sisters Nora Ruth Hurst and Lillie Ann Currin.
He is also survived by two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many
nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two siblings, John David Moore and
Martha Julia Moore, as well as one grandchild, Nicholas Callaway.
Visitation for Mr. Moore will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, August
26, 2016 at Charles McClellan Funeral Home in Quincy, FL. Graveside service will be Saturday at 11:00AM at Piedmont Cemetery in Calvary, GA , for all family and friends that wish to attend. Procession to the graveside will leave from the funeral home at 10:20 AM.
