Frank was born at WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE. He was an Army brat and his life started at Fairborn, Ohio.
He grew up in Chipley, Fl., graduated from Chipola College and enlisted into the Navy in 1967. He loved cars, antiques, historic homes, travel and restoration.
He was preceded in death by his parents Loy F. Engle and Louise Keats Engleis and his sonLoy F. Engle III.
On Thursday, January 15, 2026, Frank took his wings into the arms of our Lord and Savior. Cherishing his love and legacy is his wife, Gwendolyn Engle of Quincy, FL; his children, Samuel Glen Engle of Kansas City, MO, Maria Day (Anthony) of Greenville, FL; Anna Engle of Brooksville, FL; Seanna Chukes, of Tallahassee, FL; Natasha S. Pate (Destin) of Charlotte, NC; Pamela Masesa of Quincy, FL ; 10 grandchildren ; 11 great-grandchildren; Sister: Rhonda Tyler (Ray) Ocala, Fl; Brother: Douglas Engle (Stephanie); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
Mass will be Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Quincy, FL. Visitation will be held in the foyer from 11:30 until 1:00 PM.
Interment will be Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at Tallahassee National Cemetery, Tallahassee, FL.
