Louise Hill, 90, of Bristol, passed away on December 28, 2018 in Tallahassee, Florida.
Visitation will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 2nd at Lake Mystic Baptist Church. The Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Lake Mystic Cemetery.
Louise was born in Waycross, Georgia to Lewis Clinton Strickland and Minnie Wainwright Strickland on July 31, 1928. Louise grew up in Columbus, Georgia.
She married the love of her life Clinton Hill on June 26, 1946 in Phoenix City, Alabama. She and Clinton first lived at Fort Benning, Georgia while he was in the U.S. Army. In 1951 they moved to Liberty County where together they raised their family.
Louise was a lifelong homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also well known for her amazing skills in the kitchen preparing delicious food and arranging beautiful tables for many events in the church and community. She was an active member in Lake Mystic Baptist Church for many years. Louise also enjoyed growing flowers, ferns and watching her cats play in the yard. She will be missed by family and friends.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Hill; her parents Lewis and Minnie Strickland; son, Ross Hill; brother, Lavelle Strickland, and sister, Mary S. Middleton
Louise is survived by her children and their spouses: Robert Hill (Janna), Crista Darby (Charlie) and Rusty Hill (Kris); her grandchildren: Gary Shuler Jr., Carmen Sussman (Andrew), Ashley Crowley (Matt), Mark Shuler, Clint Hill; Elizabeth Smith (Patrick); her great-grandchildren; Simon, Liam, Nate, Max, Mason and Jacob.
