Obituary for Gene
Gene Griffiss, 76, passed away on June 6th, 2023, after a brief illness.
Gene was born to Screven and Lucille and was raised in Quincy, FL. He graduated from Quincy High School in 1966. Gene retired from City of Quincy after over 30 years of service as a Police Officer and Fire Chief.
Gene is survived by his son, Marshall (Brandi), sister, Sybil, brother, Screven (Connie), family friend, Bobbie Parr, 5 grandchildren; Samantha (Rabi) , Audrey (Tylor) , Johnathan (Daniellie), Logan, and Ashlyn, and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Justin.
A casual, drop-in visitation will be held Saturday, June 10th at Possum Neck Farm, 573 Magnolia Farm Road, Quincy, FL from 4 - 6 pm to reminisce, laugh, and share stories with our family and friends. Please dress casual. I will be wearing shorts.
