Obituary for John Larry Furr
John Larry Furr, 68, of Rock Bluff, passed away on May 1, 2021.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Furr and Mearl Furr Larramore, and his siblings, Jesse Denwell Furr, Wendell Furr, and Teresa Alday.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Paula Furr, his children, Christy and Perry Hostetter and Chairty Furr, a bonus son, Phillip Monk-Mueller, his grandchildren, Dustin and Kayla Hostetter, Chelsey Hostetter, and a sister, Shera Cook (Jamie Cook). Larry is also survived by many nieces, nephews, loving friends, and many other family members.

He retired from Suburban Propane after 28 years. He was also owner and operator of Furr’s Gas Appliance and Repair. He loved his family and his grandchildren especially brought him much joy. He loved the outdoors ,especially hunting. It didn’t matter if it was deer, turkey, raccoon, or bear he hunted year round when he was raising his family. He instilled a lot of value into his children and grandchildren. He loved to make people laugh and always had a story. He loved to play the harmonica and sing. You wouldn’t find him in town much, but if you were in the country on a dirt road, be prepared to chat for hours. He was a loving person and will be missed by many.
If you would like to make a charitable contribution in lieu of flowers, please consider Covenant Hospice or Rock Bluff Assembly of God in his memory.

A graveside service at Rock Bluff Cemetery will be held Friday, May 7, 2021, at 11:00 AM.

Charles McClellan Funeral Home, Quincy, FL., 850-627-7677, is in charge of arrangements.
