James “Jim” Harrell passed away on Friday, December 22nd in the comfort of his home with family at his side. He was born on February 27th, 1969 in Blountstown, Florida. He was a graduate of Rickards High School, class of 1987.
Jim had a passion for history and Civil War reenactments. He was a proud member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Jim enjoyed attending livestock shows with his 2 daughters as well. It brought back memories of when he was young, raising hogs with his father.
Jim was a grocery manager at Winn Dixie for many years. After that, he worked as a vendor/route manager for the remainder of his career. Jim met the love of his life (BJ) at Winn Dixie. It was love at first site. Together they had 2 children, Zipporah and Carolina.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Bronzie Lee and Eva Mae Harrell, and his brother Bronzie “Buddy” Harrell. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Bamala (BJ), 2 Daughters Zipporah and Carolina, 2 granddaughters Paisley and Adalynn. 2 sisters Beverly and Mary. 4 Brothers, Jerry, Mickey, Corbett, and Greg.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, 1001 West Washington Street, Quincy Florida. 32351. Services will be Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Thomas Memorial Church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, 600 N. 14th Street, Quincy, Fl.
