A life-long resident of Calhoun and Liberty counties, as a young man he enjoyed playing sports and being a Blountstown Tiger. As an adult he was an avid fisherman and a determined hunter. He was proud of his hunting dogs, and enjoyed the companionship of his family while running them. He worked in the wood business all of his life. He traveled the world making deals, but never forgot who he was or where he was from. He enjoyed simple pleasures, showing a family member a section of land that he had cut timber from or telling a story about his childhood. He never met a stranger and enjoyed fellowshipping with everyone.
Services will be held in Bristol Florida, on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A Visitation with the family will begin at 3:00 pm EST with the memorial service beginning at 4:00 pm EST.
