Gladys McDonald Mills Hempstead, 86, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly of Quincy, Florida, passed away in Lakeland on April 27, 2021. She was born September 19, 1934 in Blakely, Georgia.
She is survived by her children, Bobby Mills of Lakeland, Sheila Mills Richards of Providence; sisters, Sadie Hinton of Quincy, Nancy Howard of Quincy, and Ruth Peck of Sanford; a brother, John McDonald of Ormand Beach; grandchildren, Sara Mills of Lakeland, James Mills of Havana, Allison Sanchez of Providence, Jason Mills of White Water, Wisconsin, and Bill Richards of Providence; seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM from the graveside at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy, FL. Reverend Lannis Stephens will officiate.
