Obituary for George C. Budd, Jr.
George Clarence Budd, Jr., 86, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on January 31, 2015, in the presence of his family while in Hospice care. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on February 14, 2015, at LifePoint Church, 1224 Pedrick Rd, Tallahassee, Florida 32317. George was born in Absecon, New Jersey on March 15, 1928, relocating as a child to South Florida. In 1985, he moved to Tallahassee after retiring from The Port of Miami. George is survived by his wife, Judith Parkerson Budd and sons, Chip and his wife Donna (Tallahassee, FL), Scott and his wife Sharon (Hollywood, FL) and Drew and his wife Tammy (Tallahassee, FL); seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his son, Craig and wife Nan Richardson Budd. The Budd family wishes to thank Big Bend Hospice for their compassion, care and guidance over the past months.
