Obituary for Frances Alford Wise
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mary Frances Alford Wise, 89 years of age, on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at her daughter's home in Brinson, Georgia, while under the care of Hospice.
She was born in Gadsden County, Florida on December 16, 1932, to Tom and LouElla Alford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings and a daughter, Brenda Sue Glisson.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Joyner (Bob) of Lake Talquin and Dorothy Jean Hartzog (Chuck, deceased) of Brinson, Georgia. Two granddaughters, Wendi Lane of Concord, California and Jessica Barwick of Brinson, Georgia, two great grandchildren, Olivia Lane of Huntington Beach, California and Rylan Hartzog of Brinson, Georgia, plus a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
She loved the outdoors and spent many happy hours hunting and fishing with family and friends. She also loved gardening and growing beautiful flowers.
She was the rock that held the family together and enjoyed nothing more than being with her family making memories. She was affectionately known as "Nanny" by all that loved her.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Cemetery (Wetumpka Community), 284 McCall Bridge Road, Quincy, Florida with Pastor Robin Ryals officiating.
