Obituary for Faye Shofner Creel
Marsha Faye Creel, 73, of Havana, FL, passed away on July 26, 2022, at her home after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Faye was born on September 14, 1948, to Fred and Dorris Shofner in Quincy, FL. After graduating from Quincy High School, she went on to study at the Grady Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Atlanta.
She left the nursing program to marry and start a family, having Jimmy, April, and Kane by the time she was 27. In 1988, she met Pat, and they wed later in November of that year. Two years later she was blessed with a baby girl, Mallory, at the age of 42.
Faye retired from Municipal Code Corporation after a successful career traveling the country as a sales representative. After retiring, she spent her time sewing, cooking, baking, helping anyone who needed help, and spending time with her family which included her husband, four children, 15 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Faye was preceded in death by her father, Fred Thomas Shofner. She is survived by her husband, Pat Creel; her children Jimmy (Jennifer) Rudd, April (Sid) Murray, Kane (Karen) Rudd, and Mallory (Keifer) Stidam; her grandchildren Nicole, Cody, Logan, PJ, Dillon, Madeline, Stephanie, Heather, Lawson, Tucker, Madison, Kylie, Khloe, Kynzlee, and Robbie; her great-grandchildren, Carson, Trinity, Bryce, Nolan, Tatum, Payton, and Beau; her mother, Dorris; her brother, Fred (Maggie); and her sister, Chee Chee (Johnny).
Services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 11:00 am, at First Baptist Church of Havana with visitation at 10:00 am. A private graveside service for family only will be held immediately following the service.
