Edward Nathan Ellis, Sr., 79, of Tallahassee, FL., passed June 14, 2022, at his home. He was born in River Junction, FL., June 24, 1be 942 to George Washington Ellis and Dorothy Lucille Hatcher Ellis.
He enjoyed Gospel music and has written several songs and they have been copyrighted.
Family will receive friends at his home, 842 Frankie Lane Drive, Tallahassee, FL., on June16, 2022 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. The service will be Friday, June 17, 2022, at 4:00 PM at the Berean Fellowship Church on Highway 20, with interment at 6:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gadsden County. Reverend Alvin Roberts will be officiating.
He is survived by his current wife, Pauline Ellis, and previous wife of 50 years, Betty Ellis; his sons, Edward N. Ellis, Jr., of Tallahassee, FL., and George Clinton Ellis of Plain City, Ohio; daughters, Sharon Ellis Jackson of Atlanta, GA., plus a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, George and Dorothy Ellis, son, Douglas Dewayne Ellis, daughter, Donna Donaldson and two sisters, Carolyn Bentley and Elouise Ellis Sites.
