Obituary for Edna Ruth Shiver
Edna Ruth Shiver, 92 of Quincy, Florida passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Azalea Gardens Memory Care in Tallahassee, Florida.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Charles McClellan Funeral Home, Quincy Florida (850-627-7677 or charlesmcclellanfh.com).
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy, Florida.
Edna was born on January 24, 1930, in Geneva, AL and was the daughter of the late Lucious Lawrence and the late Cecil Lawrence. She was a faithful member of Thomas Memorial Church and loved the Lord and her church family. For many years she catered weddings and special events and was known for her homemade pound cake.
She is survived by her three children: sons, Ricky Shiver (wife Lyn) of Quincy, Florida and Rex Shiver (wife Karen) of Saint George Island/Thomasville and daughter Janet Shiver of Brunswick, Georgia, two sisters, Dorothy Prescott of Havana, Florida and Vicki Tonda of Arizona, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Armeta Miller and Juanita Harrell and one brother, Clarence Lawrence.
