Edgar was a master carpenter and did work for many families in Gadsden County for many generations. He loved the outdoors and spending time in his garden where he grew many vegetables that he would share with his friends and neighbors in the Sycamore community. Later in his life he learned from Dorothy to become quite a savvy cook of good southern food.
He will be missed dearly by his daughters, Norma Schoening (Michael), Barbara Kirchner (Bob), and Elaine Hall (Erwin). Grandchildren Dana Hostetter (J.R.), Alissa Thompson, Eric Potter (Andrea), Adam Hall, Brandy Scott (Joe), Kristy Kirchner, Ryne Kirchner (Star) and 12 great-grandchildren. Also, grieving his loss are brothers Russell Potter, Mayo Potter (Ellen) and his sister Betty Mulford (Kimble).
Preceding him in passing are his parents, wife Dorothy, and son-in-law Stanley Hall.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Old Sycamore Methodist Church on June 6, 2022 at 2 pm and the graveside service will follow at 3 pm at Sycamore Cemetery.
