Obituary for Donnie Earl Sloat
Donnie Earl Sloat, 67, Drake Acres, passed away Nov. 18, 2019, in an auto accident on Pat Thomas Parkway, Quincy, FL. He was born in Quincy to Marvin and Doris Sloat on Dec. 1, 1951. He was a graduate of Shanks High School in Quincy and was a residential contractor. Donnie married Linda Maxine White on April 19, 1974, at the home of Massey and Wanda and Sadberry White.
He is survived by his wife, his daughter, Amanda Maxine Sloat of Drake Acres, three sisters, Sarah Sloat (Lewis Earl) Parrish of Altha, FL., Margaret (Steve) Simmons of St. Petersburg, FL, and Carol Barrett of Charlotte, NC, and grandchildren, Easton Jones and Ethan Sloat of Drake Acres, Cari Marie (Jeb) Baggett, Carlyn LeAnn Sloat, and Caely Opal Sloat of Hosford. He was predeceased by his son Cliff Sloat, granddaughter, Cierra Sloat, and his parents.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Bethel Assembly of God Church, with the service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Sycamore Cemetery.
