We are sad to announce the passing of our father, Donald Jackson Clark, Sr. of Greensboro, Florida. He died at age 88 on December 7, 2023. Donald passed away peacefully in his sleep. He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and love for others. He loved boating, camping, and especially singing. He was a member of the FSU Marching Chiefs in college, a barbershop quarter member in Tallahassee in the mid-1970s , and sang often in church on Sundays. He was also associated with the 39ers church choir from Chattahoochee First Baptist for many years.
Donald is survived by his children, daughter Cheryl Diane (Clark) Martin (Carey Martin); son Donald (Don-Don) Jackson Clark, Jr.; daughter Amy Carol (Clark) Roberts (Danny Roberts); grandsons Shane Michael Rogowski and Bryan Christopher Roberts, and granddaughters Heather Marie Roberts, Brandy Vivian Martin Jarrell (Chase Jarrell) and Mercedes Carrie Martin (Jon Rousseau); great grandsons Liam Karson Rogowski and Nole Martin Jarrell. He is also survived by his sister Fay Carolyn (Clark) Barrow (George Barrow) and niece and nephew Carol Lynn Barrow Forester and Clark Stephen Barrow; and great nephew Jacob Daniel Forester.
Donald was preceded in death by Shirley Faye (Harris) Clark, his wife of 60 years, and grandson Matthew Chase Roberts; his mother, Mavis Estelle Jackson Clark, and father, Harold William Clark.
The memorial will be held on Sunday December 10, 2023, at 4:00 pm EST at Flat Creek Baptist Church located at 3577 Flat Creek Road, Chattahoochee, Florida 32324.
