Obituary for David Eugene Blackburn
David E. Blackburn, 78, of Hosford, Fl, passed away June 24, 2018, in Tallahassee, FL. He was born on June 17, 1940 in Blakely, GA to William Lamar and Eva English Blackburn.
He lived in Quincy for many years and was a graduate of Quincy High School. He worked at Higdon Grocery Company and later was Assistant Manager of an IGA store in Malone, FL.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018, ay 11:00 AM at Corinth Baptist Church in Hosford with Rev. Greg Kell officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 AM until service time.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Susan Hamilton Blackburn, children, Bobby (Robin) Blackburn of Hosford, Debbie (David) Conoly of Faceville, GA, Nikki (Rodney) Glaze of Concord, NH, Alan (Dee Dee) Blackburn of Tallahassee, and a special daughter, Amanda (Kevin) Cain of Sumatra, FL; brothers, Lynwood (Martha) Blackburn of Lake Talquin, FL and Rev. Terry (Kathy) Blackburn of Bristol; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Delores Cooper Blackburn, son, Jamie Blackburn, and grandson, Eric Blackburn.
