He worked at the Tallahassee Community Hospital for many years as a Nuclear Medicine technician and eventually retired due to poor health. Darrell's greatest love was fishing and he spent many hours by the side of a pond, lake, or gulf. He was a master fishing rod builder and many local residents are proud owners of his one of a kind hand-made fishing rods. A celebration of Darrell's life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Woodland Presbyterian Church. This church is located across the street from 7504 Hosford Hwy. Quincy, FL. The family will greet friends and loved ones beginning at 1:15 p.m. in the fellowship hall and will continue visitation after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodland Presbyterian Church or Sealey Elementary P.T.O., Tallahassee, FL. Charles McClellan Funeral Home, Quincy, FL, (850) 627-7677, is in charge of arrangements.
