Mr. Bevin Lynn Putnal, 77, was born in Carrabelle, FL on March 13, 1942 to Lynn and Julia Mae Putnal. He went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2019 at his home with his loving wife and family by his side.
On January 24, 1960, he married the love of his life Patricia Ann Gay, the two were inseparable for 59 years.
Bevin loved going to church to worship the lord Jesus Christ, he was a proud Deacon of the Church for many years and he wanted to love everyone and everyone love each other. Bevin was a Deer and Turkey Hunter, and he loved spending time with his wife and family. He was a Captain in Carrabelle on a Fishing boat named the "Queens of Queens" for many years and then a Captain on a Oil Rig Boat in Louisiana for several more years. Bevin then came home to be closer to his beloved wife Patsy. He cherished every moment with her his entire life. At home he worked for his Mother, Julia Mae Putnal at the World Famous, Julia Mae's Restaurant. He and Patsy worked together at the restaurant to stay close and spend as much quality time together as possible. Bevin was also a Oysterman, he worked on the Apalachicola Bay for years as long as his body was able. During his time oystering, Bevin decided to run for County Commissioner and was Successful and took the seat in 1992. Bevin remained a County Commissioner until 2012. Bevin served Franklin County for 20 proud years sitting on the County Commission board and he was always ready to help anyone in need during his 20 years no matter what district they lived in. Bevin had a Heart as big as the earth itself and was always putting others before himself, Bevin was a very loving man and will be missed dearly by his loving family.
Bevin is Survived by His loving Wife, Patsy Putnal, Daughter Sherry Nobles, Son Rusty Putnal and his Favorite Daughter in Law Sharon Putnal, and Daughter Missy Putnal and according to Bevin 4 Son in Laws.
Bevin also has 6 Grand Daughters, Jennifer Marks(Husband Lee), Jamie Martina(Husband Gary), Brooke O'Neal(Husband Travus), Danielle Haney(Husband Sean), Casey Roberts(Husband Matthew), Cheree Blevins(Husband Wade) and one Grandson Dustin Putnal(Wife Savannah). Also one Step Granddaughter Katie Lunsford(Husband Michael) Bevin loved all his Grandchildren with all his Heart and His Grandson Dustin was very Special to his Heart being the one and Only Grandson!
Bevin also has 16 Great Grandchildren, Krista Brooke Martina Downing(Husband Kyle), Bevin Maclay O'Neal, Marina Brooke O'Neal, Kelsey Lynn Martina, Jenna Lee Marks, Micah Jude Marks, Makenley Brooke O'Neal, Camden Briar Roberts, Jessa Dawn Marks, Colby Stephen Blevins, Finleigh Rae Putnal, Kenya Joyce Roberts, Jayce Lee Haney, Cade Matthew Blevins, Sailor Kyle Putnal, Caleb Micah Blevins. Two Great Step Grandsons, Dresden and Lucas.
Bevin had one Great, Great Granddaughter KIMBER LYNN DOWING who was very special to his heart! He held her on his final days and told the Family that she had the LOVING TOUCH!
Bevin was Preceded in Death with His Father, Lynn Putnal, Mother Julie Mae Putnal, Brother Danny Putnal and Brother Earl Putnal.
