Antionette Christine Chesser, 68 years of age, of Quincy, Florida went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Born December 14, 1957 in Vero Beach, Florida, Antionette was the daughter of the late Georgia and Samson Yates.
Antionette was an exemplary mother and person. She personified the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that was seen in her love and genuine care for family and friends.
Antionette loved the Lord and all who knew her, can attest to her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a member of Hardaway Assembly of God in Chattahoochee, Florida. She enjoyed reading the Bible, praying, singing, going to church, serving the Lord, spending time fellowshipping with others, and sharing God’s love through performing countless acts of kindness for all she knew.
Antionette was well known for her delicious Southern cooking. She was very creative and poured her heart into blessing others by preparing them mouth watering meals. In addition, Antionette loved to garden, whether it be a vegetable or a flower garden. Her knowledge of plants allowed her to grow just about anything. She became a florist and used her gift in many ways which included helping friends, family, and the church.
Antionette had a big heart for all animals. She was involved in fostering and rescuing animals in her community. She always had pet food and bowls in the back of her car to stop and feed a dog or cat in need.
Antionette is survived by her husband, David Chesser of Quincy, Florida; brother, Jeffrey (Jeff) Yates of Marianna, Florida; and her daughter Cheryl, and son in law, Lonnie Hunter, of Hendersonville, North Carolina and grand furbabies Fritzie & Gracelyn.
