Obituary for Alice "Gaynelle" Mullis
Alice "Gaynelle" Mullis, 77, of Tallahassee died Thursday, March 26, 2015, at Riverchase Care Center in Quincy, Florida. The service will be Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Hillcrest Cemetery, with the Rev. Chris Erde officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Charles McClellan Funeral Home. Gaynelle was a daughter of the late Ervin and Marie Wallace Clinton, from York, South Carolina. She was a member and subsequently, the first woman deacon at the Lafayette Presbyterian Church of Tallahassee. She was a retired bookkeeper from Gold's Gym in Tallahassee. Her interests included family, gardening, clogging and reading. She was kind, warm, and loyal. She laughed often and had a smile that would light up the room. She is survived by her son Russell Mullis of Tallahassee, daughter Lisa Mustain and husband Monte of Havana, son Michael Mullis and wife Adrianna of Quincy, six grandchildren, Jessica Dickover of Thomasville, Lacy Perkins of Tallahassee, Allison and Izabella Mullis of Quincy, Christopher and Sawyer Mustain of Tallahassee, and two great grandchildren, Brooks and Beau Perkins of Tallahassee. Her third great grandchild "Baby Dickover" is expected in a few weeks. Gaynelle was preceded in death by her sisters Oneida Smith and Phyllis Moss and brother Wayne Clinton of York, SC.
