Obituary For Rita Brown Millender

Born August 3, 1943

Transitioned to heaven May 8, 2018

Rita's life goal was to be a wife and mother, and an ambassador for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of which she was never bashful to mention if you talked with her for any length of time.

In her earlier years she was employed with the State of Florida.

She was an active member of Carrabelle United Methodist Church where she was involved in ministry to countless people.

She was active in our community as a prayer warrior and a soul winner.
From the church house to the BP Station and Deli to someone's home, Rita never missed an opportunity to be a witness for the Lord.

She served as a friend to many people in the Carrabelle community and was always available when someone had a need.

Rita was truly one of God's representatives here on planet Earth which was evident to anyone that ever met her.

She is survived by her brother, John Brown, step-children, Timmy Millender, Bob Millender, Thomas Millender, and Renee Stone, and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Millender; son, Cliff Brown; mother, Janie Sessions Brown; father, John B. Brown, Sr.; sisters, Berneice Chambers and Elizabeth Daniels.
