Obituary for Marjorie Kelly Sunday
Marjorie “Margie” Lee Kelly Sunday, 84, went home on Sunday, January 28, 2018. She was born Nov. 19, 1933 in Tallahassee, FL to the late Earl Hugh Kelly, Sr., and Agnes Harris Kelly. She attended and graduated from Leon High School, and was a faithful member of Old Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. A home maker, Margie’s life joy was caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she did so until her last days here.
She was preceded to heaven by her loving husband of 43 years Billy W. Sunday, Sr. and sister, Barbara Jean Keel. She is survived by four children, which turned to eight as they married: Billy W. Sunday, Jr. and wife Brenda, Diane McKeown and husband George, Debbie Jackson and husband John, and Bobbie Thompson and husband Joey; six grandchildren, which turned to ten as they married: Joshua McKeown and wife Michelle, Jessie Sunday and wife Trish, Christina Sofge and husband Micah, Rachel Thursby and husband Tommy, Rebekah Jackson and Patrick Jackson; five great grandchildren; Logan Sunday, Jay Sunday, Anna Thursby, Sam Thursby and Leia Sofge; siblings Dot Trotman and husband Leroy, and Earl Hugh Kelly, Jr.; and a host of family, friends and loved-ones.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Old Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 6420 Blue Star Memorial Hwy, Chattahoochee, FL 32324. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m., with interment following in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
