Obituary for Dott Kennington Tipper
Dott Kennington Tipper, 88, of Quincy, FL., passed away Feb. 28, 2018. She was born in New Boston, Texas to Jerry Simpson and Mary Elizabeth Kissee Kennington. She met Louis Tipper while he was in the military in Texas in 1944. They moved to Quincy in 1945 after they were married. She was a bookkeeper for the late J. Ward Williams and his automotive sales company. She was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, March 5, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Charles McClellan Funeral Home until service time at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Sunny Dell Cemetery, Gretna, FL.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Tipper Barfield, of Quincy, a sister, Ann (Jerry) Poppell of Concord, a grandson, Kenneth Louis Barfield, and other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
